About The Position

Toyota’s Human Resources Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Employee Relations Analyst for the weekend night shift at Toyota Battery Manufacturing North Carolina. Reporting to the Team Member Relations Manager, the person in this role will support the department's objective to develop and maintain positive employee relations and assure that the management team understands the intent and spirit of Toyota Human Resources policies. This onsite position is based in Liberty, North Carolina. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of this location. Relocation assistance is not available for this position. The schedule for this position is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM; occasional weekday coverage when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) OR equivalent Human Resources experience
  • Professional experience in an employee relations/team member relations role in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proven ability to work independently to develop solutions for complex problems based on facts, experience, and judgment
  • Experience in preparing documentation, presenting, and gaining approval for corrective action recommendation
  • Experience managing conflict resolution
  • Experience having responsibility for confidential documentation
  • Experience in a customer service role (daily face to face communication with customers)
  • Experience managing multiple daily tasks and projects with minimal direction
  • Ability and willingness to work weekend night shift – Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) specifically in a Human Resources related field
  • Human Resource generalist experience
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification
  • Six Sigma certification and/or Toyota TBP problem solving completion through panel
  • Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Ensure positive employee relations.
  • Conduct investigations of workplace policy violations.
  • Apply policies and procedures across organization.
  • Interpret policies and changes to policy.
  • Seek ways to proactively improve organizational processes and outcomes.
  • Apply experience and expertise to research solutions.
  • Report trends to HR leadership
  • Support and implement HR technology plans.
  • Recommend policy changes to support business needs.
  • Assist all levels of the organization with concern resolution.
  • Train, coach, and provide guidance to supervisors on HR policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Act as a business partner to all levels of management.
  • Implement corrective action when applicable.
  • Provice policy training for Group Leaders.
  • Manage team member issues and concerns.
