About The Position

Toyota's Human Resources Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Employee Relations Analyst for our manufacturing facility in San Antonio, Texas (Toyota Motor Manufacturing Texas, “TMMTX”). The primary responsibility of this role is to create positive team member relations and good management practices within TMMTX. In addition, the person in this position will be responsible for advising management in appropriate resolutions of team member relations issues. Reporting to the Team Member Relations Manager, the person in this role will support the objective to train management and team members on HR policies, systems, and procedures. This onsite position is based at our manufacturing facility in San Antonio, Texas. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of this location. The person in this role will rotate day and night shift every two weeks; the shift hours are 6:30 AM to 3:15 PM and 6:30 PM to 3:15 AM.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or closely related field, OR equivalent professional work experience in Human Resources.
  • 2+ years of experience in employee relations or other HR specific function.
  • Working knowledge of laws and regulations governing labor relations, employee treatment (i.e., EEOC and FMLA) and wage and hours.
  • Experience developing and consistently implementing HR policies.
  • Project management experience including initiating, leading, managing, and reporting out status of project.
  • Ability and willingness to rotate shifts (days to nights) every two weeks.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and outside of core office hours.
  • This position requires driving. A motor vehicle record that’s acceptable by company standards is required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Maintains an attitude and philosophy consistent with the company’s standards.
  • Helps employees, supervisors, and department heads to settle work-related conflicts through advice and recommendation.
  • Length of Service Awards, policy alignment, other projects as assigned.
  • Qualitatively grasp Team Member morale through daily sensing.
  • Maintain clear knowledge of HR and company rules and procedures.
  • Spends time on shop floors in order to gain knowledge of team member activity, issues, concerns, complaints, etc.
  • Recommends solutions to administration when repetition of individual problems indicates negative trends.
  • Assists in investigation and resolution of team member concerns.
  • Develops, collect, analyze and report out monthly KPI’s.
  • Develops innovative countermeasure activity.
