Saint Peter's is among the few hospitals in the world to have earned its 7th consecutive Magnet® designation and its first Magnet with Distinction designation. The Magnet with Distinction designation is an elite level of this recognition, awarded to organizations that demonstrate exceptional performance in nursing practices and patient outcomes. Our team of award-winning nurses is growing, and we are looking for talented, compassionate RNs to join our team. The Employee Benefits Navigator RN will serve as a primary point of contact for employees and dependents navigating medical care within the health system. They will answer questions related to health insurance benefits, coverage, and network access, and assist employees in understanding in-network vs. out-of-network care and associated costs. The role involves conducting proactive telephonic and in-person outreach to promote wellness initiatives, preventive care, and available health resources. Additionally, the Navigator will support employees during new diagnoses, emergency care transitions, and ongoing treatment plans, collaborating with Outpatient service lines on scheduling appointments, referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up care, and facilitating timely follow-up for diagnostic services and specialty care. The position also requires coordinating with carriers, TPAs, and internal revenue cycle teams to resolve access or coverage issues, providing wellness education and guidance at on-site New Hire Orientation, and developing wellness education programs for employees through in-person sessions and webinars. A key responsibility is creating a communication strategy and materials to enhance the health and wellbeing for employees and their dependents, promoting the wellness vendor platform (WellWorks) to encourage employees and their spouses to meet individual health goals and earn prizes, and encouraging engagement in disease management, preventive screenings, and wellness programs. The role also includes maintaining accurate documentation of interactions while adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality requirements, tracking common barriers, trends, and outcomes to support continuous improvement, and providing insights to HR and clinical partners regarding employee healthcare utilization challenges. Other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned.
