About The Position

Employee Benefits Intern (Insurance Agency) Kismet client, Gilbert’s Risk Solutions, located in Sharon, PA, is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Employee Benefits Intern to join their growing insurance agency. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain exposure to group benefits operations while working closely with the benefits team and learning industry-leading technology. Summer of 2026 with a potential extension to work during the school year. This internship provides real-world experience in employee benefits administration, software implementation, and client support. There is also an opportunity to obtain your Life & Health Insurance License during the internship.

Requirements

• Current Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Insurance & Risk Management, Business or related field
• Part-time availability during business hours, 8:30am-5pm; flexible with days/hours
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
• Comfortable learning new software systems and training others
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

• Opportunity to obtain your Life & Health Insurance License during the internship

Responsibilities

• Learn and become proficient in the group benefits management platform, Employee Navigator
• Assist in training internal staff on system functionality and best practices
• Participate in software demonstrations and training sessions directly with Employee Navigator representatives
• Build and maintain client profiles within the system, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Support the benefits team with onboarding, data entry, and system implementation tasks
• Assist with process improvements and documentation for system usage
• Collaborate with team members on day-to-day benefits administration activities
