Conducts employee orientation and exit interviews. Administers employee benefit programs in compliance with policies (e.g., enrolling new employees, explaining benefit options, mediating benefit eligibility and payment issues, open enrollment, etc.). Conducts dependent audits for the purpose of providing an up-to-date audit trail. Reconciles enrollment forms and billings to employee records (e.g., COBRA, disability, retirement, health, FMLA, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring accurate eligibility and payment information. Researches discrepancies between employee, payroll, benefit providers/s ensuring accuracy of records and maximizing eligible payments. Resolves conflicts with benefit providers for the purpose of verifying eligibility and conveying information. Prepares all COBRA notices to inactive and terminated employees participating in the medical plan so coordination of health coverage can be elected if desired. Maintains accurate COBRA files; notifies participants with delinquent balances. Coordinates and organizes pertinent data into usable form; prepares memorandums, reports, and other communications as needed. Proficient in computer skills that could include but is not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint to complete assigned tasks. Performs other duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
