About The Position

MedVet is seeking a collaborative, driven Emergency Veterinary Technician Assistant to join its clinical team. The role supports quality patient care and the work of veterinary technicians in a fast-paced emergency and specialty veterinary setting. The schedule is Sunday through Tuesday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Wednesday, 12 p.m. to 7 a.m. The initial hiring range is $16.00 to $21.50 per hour, based on skillset and experience, with shift differentials for evening, overnight, and weekend hours. Employment is contingent on passing a drug screen and background check.

Requirements

Prior veterinary experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent client service skills and phone etiquette.
Ability to multitask, self-motivate, and maintain strong attention to detail.
Ability to work successfully as a team member and autonomously.
Sense of urgency and critical-thinking skills.
Effective patient restraint skills.
Flexibility with work hours and ability to work additional hours when necessary.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Ensure patients receive quality care.
Ensure patient documentation is accurate and complete.
Provide oversight and care for stable patients.
Assist veterinary technicians with patient restraint.
Manage restocking of supplies for clinical teams.
Maintain clean treatment areas and manage department laundry needs.
