BluePearl Vet, LLC•SeaTac, WA

About The Position

BluePearl’s EmERge Program is a one-year training program designed to prepare participants to become skilled, confident emergency veterinarians who can provide life-saving care for pets in crisis. Participants join a team from day one and receive hands-on training, lectures, mentoring, and real-world experience. The program welcomes recent graduates and experienced veterinary professionals interested in emergency veterinary medicine. The program has three phases: 14 weeks of accelerated boot camp and initial training; 20 weeks of hands-on, immersive training guided by an experienced clinician mentor; and 18 weeks of experiential training with continued mentoring. The first 14 weeks begin with two weeks of virtual asynchronous learning, followed by a two-week in-person cohort boot camp with hands-on labs, emergency case scenarios, and practical skills training. The remaining 10 weeks take place at the participant’s primary hospital, rotating through emergency and critical care and other specialties. Participants receive a competitive salary during training. Weeks 1–34 are paid at $4,615.38 bi-weekly, equivalent to $120,000 annually. Market-rate compensation begins during weeks 35–52 for participants ready to begin experiential training by week 37. A one-year work commitment after training is required, for a total commitment of two years. The program does not replace or substitute for an internship required for application to a residency.
