About The Position

Mountain Emergency Animal Center is seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their state-of-the-art emergency hospital in Blue Ridge, Georgia. This role offers advanced emergency veterinary medicine, genuine mentorship, and work-life balance, supported by an experienced DVM team and cutting-edge technology. As the only dedicated emergency veterinary hospital within a two-hour radius, the team plays a critical role in delivering expert emergency care. The hospital is equipped with advanced tools including digital X-ray, ultrasound, bronchoscopy, endoscopy, Ligasure, cautery, Snyder units, and advanced anesthesia machines. The hospital also hosts RACE-approved CE sessions and offers on-site sleeping quarters for veterinarians.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
• Current DEA License (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Active Veterinary State License
• USDA Accreditation (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Proficient in general medicine and surgery
• Compassionate, Team Player and Strong Communicator

• Experience preferred but new graduates seeking mentorship are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency examinations
• Perform urgent care procedures
• Conduct surgeries
• Manage hospitalization and intensive care cases
• Utilize in-house diagnostics, digital radiology, and ultrasonography
• Practice high-quality medicine with confidence using advanced tools
• Participate in RACE-approved CE sessions
• Rest between shifts in on-site sleeping quarters
