About The Position

Knoxville Pet Emergency Clinic (KPEC) is seeking an Associate ER Veterinarian to join their team. This role offers an excellent environment for veterinarians of all experience levels to practice high-level medicine and surgery. The clinic operates as an overnight and weekend emergency facility, providing advanced medical and surgical care. They are equipped with an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, endoscopy, and ultrasound. The clinic emphasizes the importance of their support staff and fosters a collaborative environment where doctors perform advanced soft tissue surgeries and are encouraged to learn new techniques. A Medical Director provides mentoring, and an after-hours resource is available. The clinic offers flexibility in scheduling to promote work-life balance and allows for individualized patient treatment plans in collaboration with owners. The location is conveniently situated near downtown Knoxville, with easy access to outdoor recreational areas like Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains. Knoxville itself is a growing city with good schools and parks, and a supportive veterinary community, including proximity to the University of Tennessee CVM for continuing education.

Requirements

• Licensed Tennessee Veterinarian – active and in good standing
• All experience levels considered
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

• General surgical experience or willingness to learn preferred
• Ability to work occasional overnights and weekends preferred
