About The Position

Peninsula Pet Clinic is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their experienced team in Portland, Oregon. Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college of veterinary medicine, or equivalent certification for international graduates.
• Successful completion of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE).
• Active Oregon veterinary license in good standing, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date.
• Minimum of two years of clinical veterinary experience.
• Strong medical, surgical, and communication skills.
• A collaborative, compassionate, team-oriented approach to patient care.
• A great sense of humor and the ability to enjoy the day-to-day moments that make veterinary medicine rewarding.

Nice To Haves

• Interest in seeing pocket pets and rabbits.
• Experience utilizing digital radiography, dental radiography, and in-house diagnostics.
• Experience in small animal general practice, urgent care, or companion animal medicine.
• Strong mentorship, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proven adaptability, initiative, and team-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality veterinary medical and surgical care.
• Practice thoughtful, individualized medicine, developing realistic, personalized treatment plans in partnership with clients.
• Utilize hospital equipment including digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, and in-house laboratory services.
• Support Fear Free handling techniques to create positive experiences for pets and clients.
• Collaborate with a team-oriented approach to patient care.
• Potentially see pocket pets and rabbits.
