About The Position

Guardian Veterinary is a progressively evolving, privately owned and operated emergency and specialty small animal hospital. We are seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join our extraordinary team. We are a 24/7 hospital and pride ourselves on being there for clients when they need us most. The emergency veterinarians are one of many forces that will bring calm to the storm for those seeking our ER. We are looking for someone that emits positive energy, conveys clear and concise messages in a friendly way, can think on one’s feet, embodies the ability to be a calming force in a chaotic time, aptitude to follow the ebb and flow of the day and change course as necessary, while staying within the guidelines and demonstrates exceptional judgment.

Requirements

• Love of animals and a passion to help and heal.
• Desire to continually learn and grow.
• One-year Rotating Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery.
• At least one to two years of emergency work.
• Must be open to working day, overnight, weekends and swing shifts.
• Must be comfortable with minor surgical procedures.
• Must have own reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency veterinary care to small animals.
• Be a calming force in chaotic times.
• Think on one's feet and adapt to the ebb and flow of the day.
• Follow guidelines and demonstrate exceptional judgment.
• Perform minor surgical procedures.
• Work day, overnight, weekends, and swing shifts.
