About The Position

Gunnison Valley Health is hiring an Emergency Services Technician for the Mountain Clinic at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. The role provides compassionate, high-quality care to patients needing urgent and emergent services as part of the Emergency Services team. The position is full-time seasonal and pays $20.84–$30.82 per hour, depending on experience. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis until a finalist is selected. The position is based in the Gunnison Valley, including Gunnison and Crested Butte, Colorado. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an IV Certification course.
For EMT-B/IV/AEMT: BLS, IV Certification, and Colorado EMT certification are required; national certification is preferred.
For EMT-Intermediate/Paramedic: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Colorado EMT certification are required; national certification is preferred.
Ability to meet the stated physical requirements, including occasional walking, sitting, crouching or squatting, stooping, stair use, lifting and carrying 0–20 pounds, and pushing or pulling 25–50 pounds; frequent standing, changing position, reaching, reaching across midline, handling, and fingering; and continuous ability to see with corrective eyewear and hear clearly with assistance.

Responsibilities

Work with a Registered Nurse to complete procedures that support therapeutic or diagnostic interventions.
Take primary accountability for assisting patients and families with activities of daily living.
Provide age-appropriate patient care to support the comfort and satisfaction of patients and families.
