About The Position

Henry Ford Medical Center – Fairlane is a state-of-the-art healthcare facility in Dearborn, Michigan, offering 24-hour emergency care and specialty services. The Emergency Room Technical Assistant supports patient care under the direct supervision of registered nurses and providers. The role helps ensure timely, effective treatment and contributes to the efficiency of the Emergency Department. Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
BCLS certification.
One of the following: B-EMT; graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program; completion of a formal nursing education program; completion of a formal medical doctor education program; or one year of applicable Emergency Room Technical experience in lieu of a completed certification or program. The applicable certification or program must be completed within 12 months of hire if experience is used in lieu of it.

Nice To Haves

Previous Emergency Department Technician or Medical Assistant experience.
EMT license.
