About The Position

Henry Ford Medical Center – Fairlane is a state-of-the-art healthcare facility in Dearborn, Michigan, with 24-hour emergency care and specialty services. The Emergency Room Technical Assistant supports patient care under the direct supervision of registered nurses and providers, helping ensure patients receive timely and effective treatment and contributing to the efficiency of the Emergency Department. The role involves working collaboratively with the healthcare team in a fast-paced environment to provide coordinated, compassionate care and maintain a safe, organized setting for patients and staff.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
BCLS certification.
One of the following: B-EMT; graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program; completion of a formal nursing education program; completion of a formal medical doctor education program; or one year of applicable Emergency Room Technical experience in lieu of a completed certification or program. Candidates using the experience alternative must complete an applicable certification or program within 12 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

Previous Emergency Department Technician or Medical Assistant experience.
EMT license.
