About The Position

WVUHS Medical Group seeks a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician to join our team at Jackson General Hospital in Ripley, WV. Ripley, WV is a small, progressive city, located in the beautiful Appalachian foothills of the Ohio River. Since 1964, Jackson General Hospital has served patients throughout Jackson County and the surrounding areas. The Jackson General Hospital Emergency Department provides acute care services for patients of all ages, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. With a Level IV trauma center, adult and pediatric patients are seen for any cardiac, respiratory, trauma, or general medicine issues. Our goal is to deliver quick, effective diagnosis and treatment or transport for all patients.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent
• Eligible to obtain state medical license
• Completed Emergency Medicine residency and/or a fellowship
• Eligible for the American Board of Medical Specialties
• Emergency Medicine Board Certification required
• All qualifications must be met at the time of appointment

Responsibilities

• Practice medicine for the right reasons, with the right people.
• Provide acute care services for patients of all ages, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
• See adult and pediatric patients for any cardiac, respiratory, trauma, or general medicine issues.
• Deliver quick, effective diagnosis and treatment or transport for all patients.
