About The Position
We are seeking a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for a Locum Tenens position at Franciscan Health Lafayette East in Lafayette, Indiana. This is a high-volume Level III Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 annual visits and an average daily volume of around 137 patients. The Emergency Department has 33 beds, including 3 trauma bays and 13 cardiac-monitor beds. The physician will manage the ED, supervise and collaborate with NP/PA staff providing 36 hours of daily coverage, utilize scribe support for documentation, and coordinate with specialty care rooms for various services.
Requirements
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM)
- Active Indiana License
- Active DEA required
- CSR if required by state
- Hospital Privileges Required
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care in a high-volume Level III Trauma Center with ~50,000 annual visits
- Manage a 33-bed Emergency Department, including 3 trauma bays and 13 cardiac-monitor beds
- Supervise and collaborate with NP/PA staff providing 36 hours of daily coverage
- Utilize scribe support for efficient documentation
- Coordinate with specialty care rooms for ENT, orthopedics, GYN, and other services
