About The Position
Seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Mexia, TX. This is an outpatient role covering supplemental needs with an ongoing schedule. The physician will work 24-hour shifts (8a-8a) in a facility with 7 total beds and a Trauma Level II designation. The average patient volume is 28-32 patients per shift, supported by 2 RNs. The EMR system used is EDIS. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.
Requirements
- Active TX License
- BC/BE in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- ATLS certification
- PALS certification
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care in an outpatient setting.
- Manage patient volume of 28-32 patients per 24-hour shift.
- Collaborate with support staff, including 2 RNs.
- Utilize EDIS EMR system for patient charting.
