About The Position
This is a locum tenens position for an Emergency Medicine Physician in Eagle Pass, TX. The role involves providing clinical coverage in a hospital setting, specifically within the Emergency Department. The physician will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients of all ages, performing emergency medicine procedures, and documenting care in the Cerner EMR system. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals and adherence to facility policies are key aspects of this role.
Requirements
- Active Texas Medical License
- Active Texas DEA (Schedules II–V; Fee-Paid)
- ACLS, ATLS, PALS, NRP
- Current Emergency Department Practice Required
- ACGME/AOA EM/FM/IM Residency
- Case Logs (24 Months)
- CME (2 Years)
- $1M/$3M Malpractice Coverage
Nice To Haves
- Board Certified or Board Eligible Preferred
- Emergency Medicine Board Certification Preferred
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat emergency department patients.
- Perform emergency medicine procedures as clinically indicated.
- Document patient care in Cerner.
- Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and hospital staff.
- Comply with facility credentialing and clinical policies.
