About The Position
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Medford, OR. This inpatient role involves providing clinical emergency medical care to a diverse patient population, including adults and pediatrics. The physician will manage acute conditions, perform necessary procedures, and collaborate with a dedicated support staff. Coverage is needed for 4-8 shifts per month, with flexible shift options available. The facility is a Level III Trauma Center equipped with Epic EMR and 24-hour services.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (Eligible within 3-5 years of residency)
- Active OR license
- DEA required
- ATLS certification
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care to patients presenting to the ED
- Manage and stabilize acute medical conditions, including trauma, cardiac, and respiratory emergencies
- Perform necessary procedures (e.g., suturing, intubation, central line placement) as per privileges
- Collaborate with nursing staff, specialists, and ancillary departments for patient care
- Document patient encounters accurately and promptly in Epic EMR
