About The Position
MercyOne North Iowa is seeking an Emergency Medicine Nocturnist to join their Level III Trauma Center in Mason City, Iowa. This full-time position involves working the night shift at a busy Emergency Department with 35,000 annual visits. The facility is a full-service hospital with a 24/7 Hospitalist program, air medical and ambulance services, advanced diagnostic capabilities like CT/MRI in the department, bedside ultrasound, and point-of-use supplies in every room. The department has 42 hours of physician coverage per day and is supported by a tertiary center with over 300 physicians and specialists, ensuring most patients can be kept in-house. The role offers a teaching opportunity with residents, medical students, and PA/ARNP students. The practice is located at a single site.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE).
- Must be board certified within 3 years of becoming eligible.
- Completion of an ER Residency Program or ER Fellowship.
- Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school.
- Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license.
- Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
- Successful completion of references, background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen.
