About The Position

The Mount Sinai Department of Emergency Medicine is one of the largest in the nation, staffing emergency medicine practice sites across the Mount Sinai Health System. This includes academic medical centers like Mount Sinai Hospital, Mount Sinai Morningside, and Mount Sinai West, as well as community hospitals such as Mount Sinai Queens, Mount Sinai Brooklyn, and Mount Sinai South Nassau, and affiliated sites like Elmhurst Hospital Center, Queens Hospital Center, and Richmond University Medical Center. The department also staffs free-standing clinical entities including two urgent care centers and a virtual urgent care program. The service line comprises nearly 300 faculty physicians and over 100 physician assistants, serving more than 500,000 patients annually. The academic medical centers are heavily involved in education, research, and the treatment of complex cases, often functioning as safety-net hospitals. The community hospitals prioritize high-quality, efficient care and act as the primary healthcare resource for their respective communities. Faculty positions are available at one or more of the Mount Sinai Health System Sites, including academic centers (Mount Sinai Hospital, Mount Sinai Morningside, Mount Sinai West) and community centers (Mount Sinai South Nassau, Mount Sinai Brooklyn, Mount Sinai Queens, Mount Sinai Urgent Care Centers, Richmond University Medical Center).
