About The Position
We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Dexter, MO. This role involves providing clinical coverage in an outpatient setting, focusing on emergency medicine cases. The coverage period is from ASAP through August 31, 2028. The physician will be responsible for performing comprehensive medical assessments, providing acute care, managing medical emergencies and trauma resuscitations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and documenting patient encounters in the Epic EMR system.
Requirements
- Board Certified (BC)
- MO or IMLC License
- DEA Required
- BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS certifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of Emergency Medicine experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive medical assessments and provide acute care for patients presenting in the emergency department.
- Manage medical emergencies, trauma resuscitations, and critical care interventions.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and diagnostic procedures.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, specialists, and primary care providers to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the Epic EMR system.
