About The Position
We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Jeffersonville, IN. This role involves providing clinical coverage in a 12-bed Emergency Department with 24-hour physician coverage. The physician will manage patient volume, utilize the Epic EMR system, and collaborate with Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) coverage.
Requirements
- Active Indiana Medical License (IMLC candidates considered)
- ABEM or AOBEM Board Certification required
- Indiana DEA and CSR required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Medicine experience
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency department coverage for a 12-bed ED with 24-hour physician coverage.
- Manage an average of 0.6 patients per hour during night shifts and 3.0 patients per hour during day shifts.
- Utilize Epic for documentation.
- Collaborate with APC coverage (18-24 hours).
- Ensure compliance with Indiana medical license, DEA, and board certification requirements.
