About The Position

Lifeguard Ambulance Service is hiring part-time Emergency Medical Technicians to respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and provide patients with high-quality care, treatment, and customer service. EMTs assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment. They document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights, and help ensure a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment. The role also involves operating an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws, and working collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State EMT license.
• State driver's license.
• BLS and NREMT.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass a Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.

• Use appropriate EMT skills and equipment, including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws related to emergency medical response vehicles.
• Work collaboratively and professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR's image and establish strong community relations.
