About The Position

This role involves leading the delivery of compassionate, evidence-based nursing care, ensuring every action aligns with the highest safety standards and clinical excellence. The EMT will advocate for patients by continuously monitoring their progress and communicating vital updates to the broader care team to ensure timely, life-saving interventions. They will coordinate a seamless care journey by acting as the central link between physicians, specialists, and support staff to provide a unified treatment experience. Additionally, the EMT will empower patients and their families by spearheading the discharge planning process, ensuring they have the resources and knowledge needed for a successful recovery at home.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Rotating PRN hours, dependent on department needs
BLS required
Independent, proactive, critical thinker. Works well with others and can accept delegation

Nice To Haves

Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Driver's License preferred.
Previous ED Tech or EMT experience highly preferred
