About The Position

The Emergency Medical Technician provides high-quality pre-hospital and interfacility advanced life support, including assessment, triage, and treatment, using standards and guidelines established by HCA Healthcare North Carolina MAMA Medical Director(s). The role carries out the mission of HCA Healthcare North Carolina MAMA and helps ensure that safety remains the highest priority throughout the transport continuum.

Requirements

• Maintain current licensure and certification as a Paramedic through the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services.
• Maintain BCLS certification.
• Have a valid North Carolina driver's license.
• Be at least 21 years old to meet Mission Health insurance guidelines.
• Maintain FEMA 100, 200, 700, and 800 certifications.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree.
• Minimum 3–5 years of full-time experience at the EMT level with a demanding 911 or interfacility transport service.
• National Registry Emergency Medical Technician.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-hospital and interfacility advanced life support, including assessment, triage, and treatment, according to established standards and guidelines.
• Carry out the mission of HCA Healthcare North Carolina MAMA.
• Help ensure safety remains the highest priority throughout the transport continuum.
• Attend at least 80% of monthly scheduled team meetings.
