Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1 year Experience working as an Emergency Medical Technician
  • Computer skills.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support AHA - American Heart Association Upon Hire
  • EMT-B - Emergency Medical Technician - Basic - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
  • DL - Driver's License_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of college education
  • 3 years EMSVO - Emergency Medical Service Vehicle Operator - Emergency Health Services Federation

Responsibilities

  • Functions as a department team member to support unit and hospital goals and objectives.
  • Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies to optimize delivery of patient care and treatment.
  • Provides and maintains a safe environment for patient and special event medicine team.
  • Utilizes assessment and stabilization skills in the provision of patient care.
  • Upholds policies and procedures of the critical care transport program while representing it in a positive and professional manner.
  • Maintains medical equipment, supplies, ambulances, and crew quarters in an organized and clean manner.
  • Completes a checklist at start of each assigned shift to ensure operational readiness is maintained.
  • Performs activities utilizing equipment and supplies according to hospital policies.
  • Completes all documentation including patient care charting.
