This part-time position involves providing direct patient care at the Emergency Medical Technician Defibrillation (EMT-D) level for special events, adhering to established protocols and state guidelines. The role also supports paramedics or nurses during patient transports from event venues, assisting with patient packaging, loading, and care. A key responsibility includes driving event vehicles safely and legally, ensuring the safety of all passengers. The EMT-D is also responsible for vehicle cleanliness and restocking after each event or transport, reporting any safety hazards, and accurately documenting patient condition and treatment while maintaining confidentiality. Maintaining necessary certifications, skills, continuing education, and mandatory in-services is also required.
