Lead a dedicated team responsible for preparing Charlotte County for the unexpected. You'll oversee emergency management operations, coordinate countywide preparedness initiatives, support disaster response, and help ensure our community remains safe, informed, and resilient during times of crisis. As the Emergency Management Supervisor, you'll play a vital leadership role in protecting the lives, property, and well-being of Charlotte County's residents before, during, and after emergencies. By leading countywide emergency preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation efforts, you'll help ensure the County is ready to respond to hurricanes, natural disasters, public safety incidents, and other emergencies with confidence and coordination. Your work will strengthen community resilience through strategic planning, public outreach, interagency collaboration, and continuous improvement of emergency programs. This position serves as the driving force behind the County's emergency preparedness and operational readiness. From overseeing Emergency Operations Center activations and emergency notification systems to leading staff, managing critical resources, and coordinating with local, state, and federal partners, your leadership will help ensure emergency plans become effective action when every second counts. The work performed in this role directly supports the County's mission of safeguarding the community and building a more resilient future.
