Emergency Downtime - Mechanic Night Shift
About The Position
The Emergency Downtime (EDT) Mechanic is a frontline maintenance professional who responds to unplanned equipment failures and restores production as quickly and safely as possible. Working within a structured reliability system, the mechanic resolves immediate issues and records high-quality information in the CMMS to support long-term equipment reliability improvements. EDT Mechanics serve as “Do-It-Now” responders on the production floor, helping maintain continuous operation of high-speed flour and corn processing lines. Equipment and processes include mixing, pressing, baking, conveying, cooling, and packaging systems. The position is based in person in Kissimmee, Florida, and is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday from 6:00 PM to 4:30 AM.
Requirements
- Strong electrical background.
- Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing industry experience.
- Experience with conveyors, drives, pneumatics, and production equipment.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-output facility.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems.
- Basic understanding of root-cause thinking rather than only fixing symptoms.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Available to work weekends.
- At least 3 years of industrial mechanic experience (required).
- Night shift availability (required).
- Ability to commute to Kissimmee, FL 34758 (required).
- Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
