About The Position

Stewart Glass is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair machinery, equipment, and facilities at its solar glass manufacturing operation. The role involves troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, fabricating and welding parts, inspecting equipment, and responding to maintenance requests. The mechanic may supervise maintenance staff when required and must maintain accurate work records. This is a full-time, hourly, in-person position on a night shift schedule of 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with four days on and four days off. The position is eligible for overtime and includes a night-shift differential.

Requirements

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a similar role.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to diagnose and repair different types of equipment.
• Ability to perform electrical work.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills with team members and management.
• Leadership skills and ability to supervise others when necessary.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in manufacturing or an industrial setting is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facilities.
• Fabricate and weld parts to support machinery repairs and enhancements.
• Inspect equipment to identify potential issues before they become significant problems.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and management.
• Supervise maintenance staff when required and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including parts used and time spent.
• Troubleshoot and repair processing-line mechanical systems, including logic controllers, HVAC systems, plumbing, and electrical components.
