About The Position

The Mechanic Trainee supports maintenance of quarry mobile and stationary equipment while developing technical skills alongside experienced mechanics. The role assists with preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to help minimize downtime. It also performs equipment lubrication, parts replacement, and housekeeping in maintenance areas, following company and regulatory safety standards to support daily plant operations. The role operates primarily around moving mechanical equipment and may involve inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise levels.

Requirements

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to learn equipment maintenance and repair techniques.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and basic diagnostic equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate professionally with coworkers.
• Willingness to learn, follow safety procedures, and adapt to changing operational needs.
• Must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to comply with company safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply safe maintenance practices while following company and regulatory standards.

• Work with experienced mechanics to develop technical skills and support daily plant operations.
