About The Position
The role will receive calls for emergency services. The dispatcher will determine the appropriate response/priority and direct the call to the appropriate personnel or responder while maintaining officer safety checks. Relays officer safety information. This position maintains the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) and CAD database with required information. Performs Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) operations for information inquiries and retrieval.
Requirements
- Zero to six months of similar or related experience.
- HS Diploma/GED.
- Must successfully complete the Dispatch training basic law enforcement communication officer (BLECO) course.
- Must successfully complete EMD.
- Must successfully complete 1st aid CPR.
- Must successfully complete BIA BLECO course.
- Must successfully complete NCIC certification.
- Must successfully complete the full 90-day probationary period, beginning at hire date.
