Requirements
- Certification as a Basic Telecommunicator with the Association of Public Safety
- Grade 12
- Emergency Medical Dispatch Certification
- Current CPR Level C
- Minimum typing (keyboarding) speed of 40 wpm.
Nice To Haves
- HSAS seniority in the SHA will be considered under the selection criteria in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
- Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members
Responsibilities
- Working in concert with call-evaluators and communication deployment specialists, while working within the EMD scope of practice.
- Provide IFT processing, emergency medical dispatching, pre-arrival instructions and deployment of emergency vehicles in emergent and non-emergent situations.
