About The Position

The Emergency Room Technician greets and orients patients to the patient care area, performs cardiac monitoring testing and rhythm interpretation, and provides security access to and from the Emergency Department by monitoring cameras and answering entrance phones. The technician provides patient care services as stated to the patient and collaborates with other team members to perform additional services as directed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Successful completion of an arrhythmia recognition course, as assigned.
• Ability to collaborate with others in a team setting.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Positive attitude toward problem-solving.
• Must be able to lift.
• Must be able to attend one week of full-time training.

Nice To Haves

• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
