About The Position
The Emergency Department Technician participates in the clinical aspects of patient care alongside members of the health care team, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The role requires knowledge and ability to provide care appropriate to the age-specific population assigned. The position is with Piedmont Newnan Hospital.
Requirements
- Hold current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/Intermediate Level certification, or have previously held one of these certifications; alternatively, be enrolled in an accredited nursing program and have completed at least one semester of clinical rotations in an acute care hospital; or have two years of patient care technician and/or Emergency Room Technician experience in lieu of an EMT license.
- Have a current BLS CPR card upon hire.
