About The Position

The ED Tech participates in the clinical aspects of patient care alongside all members of the health care team, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The role requires the knowledge and ability to provide care to the age-specific population assigned.

Requirements

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card upon hire.
• Meet one of the following qualifications: current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/Intermediate Level certification; previously held Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/Intermediate Level certification; currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and completed at least one semester of clinical rotations in an acute care hospital; or two years of patient care technician and/or Emergency Room Technician experience in lieu of an EMT license.
