About The Position

The Emergency Dept Tech participates in the clinical aspects of patient care with all members of the health care team, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The role requires the knowledge and ability to provide care to the age-specific population assigned.

Requirements

• Meet one of the following qualification pathways: hold current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/Intermediate Level certification; hold a previous Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/Intermediate Level certification; be a student currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program who has completed at least one semester of clinical rotations within an acute care hospital; or have two years of patient care technician and/or Emergency Room Technician experience in lieu of an EMT license.
• Current BLS CPR Card upon hire.
