About The Position

The Emergency Dept Tech participates in the clinical aspects of patient care with all members of the health care team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The position requires the knowledge and ability to provide care to the age-specific population to which assigned.

Requirements

• Meet one of the listed education or experience qualifications: hold current Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/Intermediate Level certification; have previously held Georgia Basic EMT Certification or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Registry/Intermediate Level certification; be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program and have completed at least one semester of clinical rotations in an acute care hospital; or have two years of patient care technician and/or Emergency Room Tech experience in lieu of an EMT license.
• Hold a current BLS CPR card upon hire.
