About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a part-time Emergency Department Technician/EMT to join their highly committed and dynamic Emergency Services team. This role involves providing excellent quality care to patients of all ages. The Emergency Department Technician/EMT plays a direct role in saving lives by serving patients in a safe environment and promoting long-term recovery. They are expected to perform with a high degree of clinical and professional aptitude while helping deliver patient care as part of a professional multidisciplinary team. The Emergency Services department is a Level II ACS-verified Trauma Center, a high-energy, patient-centered environment with various specialized rooms, serving all patient populations. It is recognized for excellence through metrics and patient experience, being a Stroke Center with 24/7 neuro-interventional capabilities and a Chest Pain Center with 24/7 interventional cardiac catheterization lab capabilities. The department is a 2023 Emergency Nurses Association Lantern Award recipient.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalency
National Registry Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (NREMT) or Wisconsin Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT-B)
Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers

Nice To Haves

Prior work experience in an emergency or pre-hospital setting is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Play a direct role in saving the lives of patients each day by serving them in a safe environment promoting long-term recovery.
Help deliver patient care as part of a professional multidisciplinary team of Providers, RNs, Paramedics, Emergency Department Technicians, Respiratory Therapists, Health Unit Coordinators, and Social Workers.
