About The Position

St. Christopher's Hospital for Children's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants the flexibility of part-time, 8-hour shifts while making a meaningful impact. This is a 7p-3a position, three 8-hour shifts a week, with every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation. Requirements

Current RN license in Pennsylvania (or eligible)
BLS required
PALS required (or obtained within designated timeframe)
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
Relevant Critical Care/ED RN Experience
PA Registered Nurse License
BLS Certification and PALS within one year of hire

Nice To Haves

Pediatric and/or Emergency Department nursing experience preferred
Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

Assess, prioritize, and provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients with illnesses and injuries ranging from minor to life-threatening.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care.
Respond quickly and confidently in emergency situations while maintaining compassion for patients and families.
Educate patients and caregivers throughout the care journey.
Help create a safe, positive, and healing environment for every child.
