Emergency Department Physician (ED MD/DO)

About The Position

Black River Health is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Physician to provide high-quality, compassionate, and cost-effective medical care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department. The physician collaborates with the healthcare team to support excellent patient outcomes and a positive patient experience. The schedule consists of six 24-hour shifts per month, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 AM, with rotating weekends and holidays. Black River Health is an independent, community-focused healthcare organization with a collaborative team. The position is based in Black River Country, an area offering wilderness, lakes, trails, and year-round outdoor recreation.

Requirements

Current Wisconsin medical license in good standing.
Maintain good standing on Black River Health's medical staff.
Current certifications in BLS, ATLS, ALS/ACLS, and PLS/PALS are required unless ABEM certified.
New graduates must be board-eligible and obtain board certification within one year of employment.

Nice To Haves

Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Practice with ED experience/training, Internal Medicine with ED experience/training, or Emergency Medicine is preferred.
