Learn more: https://www.stmarysregional.com What You’ll Do As the ER Director, you’ll play a pivotal role in both clinical oversight and operational leadership. You’ll ensure safe, efficient departmental function while supporting and developing the nursing team. Responsibilities include: Staffing: Assessing and providing appropriate ED staffing using tools to measure, track, monitor, and report departmental processes; measured through productivity and turnover. Safe Environment: Prioritizing employee and patient safety; ensuring compliance with OSHA, Infection Control, and Environment of Care standards; providing ongoing staff training. Hiring: Following St. Mary’s hiring procedures and ensuring timely completion of interviews and onboarding steps. Evaluations: Delivering timely 90‑day evaluations for new hires and completing annual performance evaluations for all staff; measured by 100% on‑time completion. Employee Competency & Education: Assessing staff educational needs; developing structures and processes to enhance knowledge, skills, and abilities; implementing best practices to strengthen competencies and documentation. Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring departmental adherence to all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Administrative Call: Sharing nursing administrative call responsibilities with nursing managers on a rotating basis.
