About The Position

The Emergency Communications Coordinator (ECC) is responsible for efficient communications with all ambulances and/or medical helicopters operating in WV EMS Region II and surrounding areas. The ECC also arranges the appropriate mode of transport for interfacility transfers of patients requiring tertiary care services.

Requirements

• Junior College/Technical School education is required.
• WV EMT-Paramedic Certification is required.
• ACLS, BTLS/PHTLS, PEPP, and PALS are required.

Nice To Haves

• Instructor rating in at least one of the listed courses.
• Five or more years of position-related experience is preferred.
• EMT-Paramedic experience with a field emergency medical services (EMS) program.
• Knowledge of EMS communications theory and positive customer service practices.
