About The Position
Summit Golf Brands is hiring an Embroidery Machine Operator for its production team in Barneveld, Wisconsin. This hands-on, full-time role applies club logos and crests to garments using a 6-head embroidery machine. The operator follows work orders for logo placement, thread colors, and garment locations, and uses computer programs to send logo files to the machine. The role requires attention to detail, standing for extended periods, and repetitive movement throughout the shift. No prior embroidery experience is required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfort with repetitive movement of the wrists, upper arms, and shoulders.
- Ability to bend, twist, and reach continuously throughout a shift.
- Willingness to take on additional duties as needed.
- Ability to reliably commute to Barneveld, WI, or plan to relocate before starting.
Nice To Haves
- Prior embroidery experience.
- Experience in the apparel industry.
Responsibilities
- Operate a 6-head embroidery machine to apply club logos and crests to garments.
- Follow production work order instructions for logo placement, thread colors, and garment location.
- Hoop garments accurately and efficiently.
- Send logo files to the embroidery machine using computer programs.
- Pull, set up, and correctly load thread colors according to work orders, then return threads to the rack when jobs are complete.
- Monitor embroidery runs for proper tension, thread breaks, and jump stitches, and flag unusual issues to a supervisor.
- Trim backing and threads on longer-running jobs as time allows.
- Scan the start and end time of each job task using the tracking system.
- Keep the work area clean and organized at the end of each shift.
- Work mandatory Saturdays as needed.
