About The Position

This role is for an Email Developer within the Awesomic Talent Pool. Awesomic is a web app that uses an AI-driven algorithm to match businesses with talent. The Email Developer will be responsible for building and maintaining responsive HTML/CSS email templates, setting up and managing email workflows in HubSpot and/or Mailchimp, collaborating with marketing teams, testing emails across clients and devices, and optimizing templates for deliverability, engagement, and conversion.

Requirements

• Solid HTML/CSS with hands-on experience coding emails from scratch
• Proficiency in HubSpot and/or Mailchimp — workflows, automations, lists, and reporting
• Understanding of email deliverability best practices
• Experience testing across email clients (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, etc.)
• You take ownership — you don't wait to be told what's broken, you fix it
• You're detail-obsessed and know that one misplaced tag can break an entire campaign
• You're comfortable working async with global teams and managing your own deadlines
• You care about the results your emails drive, not just how they look

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, or other ESPs
• Basic understanding of segmentation and A/B testing
• Experience working with design files in Figma to translate visuals into code

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain responsive, pixel-perfect HTML/CSS email templates for marketing campaigns
• Set up and manage email workflows, automations, and sequences in HubSpot and/or Mailchimp
• Collaborate with marketing teams to bring campaign briefs to life — fast and on-brand
• Test emails across clients and devices to ensure flawless rendering every time
• Continuously optimize templates for deliverability, engagement, and conversion
