About The Position

This course extends the experiential learning from EM299. Through direct experience in K-12 education contexts, students will complete an action research project that mirrors education-focused practitioner research. Students will be supported as they develop a question, collect information, and summarize their findings. Course delivery is a combination of online modules and observational experiences in education environments. As an online course, the content and syllabus has already been created for the course.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Education
  • Bachelor of Education and/or K – 12 Teaching Certification
  • K – 12 teaching experience
  • Teaching experience in an online environment
  • Significant supervisory experience as an administrator with teachers in schools or in teacher education
  • Practitioner-based research specialization
  • Teaching experience in a post-secondary context in education
  • Supervision experience in Ontario schools

Responsibilities

  • Develop a question for an action research project.
  • Collect information for the action research project.
  • Summarize findings from the action research project.
