About The Position

This course examines education in comparative and international contexts. Teacher Candidates will examine how global education can be incorporated into Canadian school contexts so that students can be more effective global citizens. Teacher Candidates will consider education in international contexts in the Global South to develop a broader understanding of how education is viewed and actualized in different parts of the world. The successful candidate will work with the course lead in order to provide consistency across sections.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in education or related discipline
  • Bachelor of Education and/or K – 12 Teaching Certification
  • K – 12 teaching experience in an international context
  • Education or related content area
  • Global Education specialization
  • Internal members of the CTF bargaining unit

Nice To Haves

  • Doctoral degree in education or related discipline
  • Post-secondary teaching experience in teacher education

Responsibilities

  • Provide consistency across sections by working with the course lead.
