About The Position

Thorough review of pre-university skills in algebra, trigonometry and functions. Topics discussed will include: algebraic manipulations used to simplify expressions and solve equations and inequalities; analytic geometry; and polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric functions. Also integrated with the course content will be discussion of specific learning strategies to help students with the transition from high school mathematics to university level expectations. The course will not count towards satisfying program requirements in mathematics.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree or higher
  • Mathematics or Statistics specialization
  • MA or MSc degree or higher in Mathematics or Statistics
  • Ability to prepare course documents using LaTeX.
  • Candidate Application Form (CAF)
  • CV (Maximum of 10 pages, with 12-point font and 2.54 cm (1 inch) margins)
  • CV submitted as a single .pdf file
  • Clearly outline relevant qualifications for each course applied for on the CAF
  • Articulate how work and academic experience enhances ability to teach each course on the CAF
  • 4-page total limit on responses to Questions 1, 3 and 4 on CAF
  • 200-word limit on responses for Question 2 on CAF
