About The Position

The Contra Costa County Adult Education Consortium (CCCAEC) is seeking an equity-driven coordinator to lead the Center for Innovation and Impact and scale the English Language Learner (ELL) Healthcare Pathways program across adult schools, community colleges, and community-based partners in Contra Costa County. The role develops and oversees a countywide support framework intended to help ELL students overcome systemic barriers, access wraparound services, transition to postsecondary credentials, and obtain family-sustaining healthcare employment. The coordinator provides strategic leadership for healthcare workforce integration, expands and aligns pathways across adult education and community college programs, engages healthcare employers, and works with instructional leaders to align healthcare-specific language instruction with clinical skills training. The role also coordinates and oversees transition specialists, develops employer advisory boards, builds community referral networks, advocates for changes that address systemic barriers, and establishes systems for supporting students through college enrollment, financial aid, credentialing, and job placement. The position tracks enrollment, retention, credentials, and job placement; reports program outcomes to consortium leadership, funders, and other stakeholders; and uses qualitative and quantitative data to improve services and ensure pathways respond to learner needs and workforce expectations. This is a full-time contract assignment of 40 hours per week for 48 weeks per year. It is hybrid and requires a strong local presence, regular travel and on-site visits across Contra Costa County, and some evening and occasional weekend hours. The selected contractor must provide proof of adequate insurance and individuals conducting site visits must pass a DOJ/FBI Live Scan background check and provide current TB clearance.
